    Maithan Dam is one of the best place in                                  Jharkhand 

 

It was established in year 1957 . It has also an underground power station, the first of its kind in the whole of South East in India. 

It is 15,712 ft ( 4,789 m) long and 165 ft (50m). It is now run and maintend and owned by DVC.
